Who does MHCLC help?

The MHCLC serves adults who live in Marshall, TX or Harrison County, Texas. Our students are persons who are at least 18 years old and not currently enrolled in a high school program.


How can I become a student at MHCLC?

To become a student at MHCLC, you will need to call or stop by and visit with our director. Together the student and director determine if the services offered at MHCLC and the needs of the student are a match. Feel free to fill out this online form to start the process as well.


What is the cost of the services of MHCLC?

All of our student services are completely free of charge thanks to very generous donations from community members and businesses as well as funding from various grant programs.


Do you have volunteer opportunities at MHCLC?

Yes, we have opportunities for a person to volunteer. You can volunteer in the office in various opportunities. You can also be a volunteer tutor and work with our amazing students. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please click here.


What are the qualifications to become a tutor?

The only non negotiable qualification to be a tutor for MHCLC is that you must care about people. There is no requirement for previous teaching experience. You will go through a Tutor Training class upon being approved as a tutor.
